2017 Nissan Rogue is Perfect For Central Coast Living and The Nearby Mountains
The 2017 Nissan Rogue is a standout crossover SUV that’s perfect for small families and anyone who’s ready for an exciting road trip. When you visit a Nissan dealership like the Central Coast Nissan dealer and see the Nissan Rogue in the showroom, you’ll be struck by its elegant interior with room to seat five passengers. Those who need a bit more room can opt for the third row, which ups the capacity from five to seven.
For 2017 the Nissan Rogue gets a minor styling update and more sound insulation. There’s also a new hybrid option. Other new available features include adaptive cruise control with forward collision mitigation, a hands-free liftgate, a heated steering wheel, remote ignition, driver seat memory functions, a premium Platinum Reserve package and a black Midnight Edition.
The 2017 Nissan Rogue is offered in three trim levels, listed as S, SV and SL. Powering all models is a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 170 horsepower and 175 lb.-ft. of torque, teamed to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the Rogue with front-wheel drive is 26 mpg city/33 mpg highway, while all-wheel-drive models get 25 mpg city/32 mpg highway.*
The Nissan Rogue Hybrid is motivated by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that works with an electric motor to generate a total of 176 hp. The Hybrid is available in SL and SV trims and is offered with front- or all-wheel drive. EPA-estimated fuel economy is rated at 33 mpg city/35 mpg highway with front-wheel drive and 31 mpg city/34 mpg highway with all-wheel drive.
Central Coast Driving Is Demanding, the 2017 Nissan Rogue's AWD Is A Must Have
The 2017 Nissan Rogue’s available AWD system makes sure handling is outstanding when the road conditions are slippery. More than that, it turns the Rogue into a formidable off-road vehicle. Muddy trails are no obstacle for the Rogue, thanks to its locking center differential and 8.2 inches of ground clearance.
The Nissan Rogue stands out from the competition with aerodynamic styling. The V-Motion grille gives the Rogue a dramatic and aggressive look. The boomerang-shaped taillights are a welcome touch. The Midnight Edition package adds maximum black, with black 17" alloy wheels, Charcoal cloth seats, black exterior mirrors, Black splash guards, and black roof rails and crossbars.
On the inside, Nissan designed the 2017 Rogue with comfort in mind. Nissan’s Zero Gravity front seats are relaxing for short drives or long road trips. Push back the second-row seats and you’ll get more than ample legroom. Standard on all models without a third row, Nissan’s versatile Divide-n-Hide Cargo System lets you create a separate compartment to hide your valuables.
The IIHS has designated the 2017 Nissan Rogue as a Top Safety Pick+ model. The SV trim comes with blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert, while the SL gets a 360-degree camera and automatic high beams. The SL has an optional package that adds forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and lane departure warning.
