Nissan to Expand Quick Charging Stations


A few days after BMW and Volkswagen revealed that they will be expanding their quick charging stations throughout the nation, Nissan revealed that it too will help open about 1,000 high-speed charging stations for electric-vehicles between now and April of next year. Nissan recently disclosed tthat it will focus its efforts on the nation’s largest metro areas in order to provide electric vehicle owners with high speed chargers that can fill up a vehicle’s battery in roughly 20 to 30 minutes. Currently Nissan has chargers in 13 metro areas including San Francisco, Dallas and Washington and plans to expand to 25 cities by the end of the year. Nissan to Advertise in Super Bowl XLIX


Nissan announced that it will not release Super Bowl commercial teasers but instead will run a very unique campaign leading up to the Super Bowl XLIX. Original Designer Redesigns 2016 Nissan Titan Model

 

The redesigned Nissan Titan was redesigned by Diane Allen, the original designer of the Titan pickup truck in 2002. Allen has been with Nissan for nearly thirty years where she is known for her tremendous efforts with the original Titan pickup and its redesign. Nissan Shatters another Sales Record in 2014

Nissan’s Step towards Autonomous Driving

 

Nissan announced that it has developed and licensed its Around View Monitor and Moving Object Detection technology while partnering up with Clarion Co for Hitachi Construction Machinery Co to use. The technology is a tremendous step towards autonomous driving. This new technology is a parking support system that offers the driver a view of the vehicle from a bird’s eye view, using four exterior cameras. This system also makes it easy to detect moving objects around the vehicle and then warns the driver of any hazardous surroundings. Nissan and Clarion Co., have signed a licensing agreement with Hitachi Construction Co. that enables the construction firm to use the technology while hauling trucks and hydraulic excavators working at large open-pit mines.
