The 2017 Nissan GT-R is Here!

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

gfghfghgfh

Nissan just answered every GT-R fanboy’s prayer at the 2016 New York international Auto Show by presenting the all-new 2017 Nissan GT-R.

The new GT-R comes with some fresh interiors and significant upgrades on the outside as well. More importantly, the 2017 Nissan GT-R will come with some major upgrades in the performance department and a ton of new features.

The GT-R Premium, which is the first of the four variants, will hit showroom floors sometime in the summer of 2016.

Daniel Schillaci, Executive VP, Global Marketing & Sales stated that the latest GT-R will be the most  progressive, advanced, and refined sports car from the Nissan label. For those who know their GT-Rs, that’s something to really look forward to, considering the fact that older GT-Rs were light years away from being disappointing.

The VP also mentioned that the GT-R will now focus on 5 key areas – Exterior Design, Driving Performance, Technology, Interior Refinement, and Ride Comfort. The objective being that Nissan plans to surpass all current expectations of “Excitement” and “Refinement” that the GT-R is already known for.

The GT-R has always set the standards for Japanese automotive engineering and design and has also remained loyal to its Japanese personality. The new version is expected to really push the limits by bringing together the refinement and class of a Grand Tourer and the precision and performance of a purebred Racer.

To put it simply, Nissan plans to expand on the GT-R’s “Godzilla” legend.

To pre-book your 2017 Nissan GT-R, come to Coast Nissan to get more information.

2016-nissan-murano-front-back-seats-large

The Nissan Murano is one of Nissan’s most exciting products and it is also one of the most interesting crossover SUVs available in the market today. The best part is that Nissan has managed to maintain that reputation with the new 2016 Murano. To give you a glimpse of what the new Murano is like, here are a few details about the interesting little tech-bits found in the vehicle’s top SL variant.

To begin with, you have a state of the art Bose audio system that comes with 11 strategically positioned speakers that envelop the entire cabin with crystal clear sound.

Then, you have the brilliant Around View Monitor (AVM). The AVM unit basically consists of 4 cameras located in such a manner as to provide a 360 degree composite bird’s eye view of the vehicle, which is projected through the touch-screen display. The objective here is to help drivers navigate through tight corners or parking spaces better by providing a view of the vehicle’s position.

The New SL variant of the Murano also boasts of a HomeLink Universal Transceiver (HUT). The HUT system allows the driver to control security gates, house lighting, and garage doors. The HUT system can also be configured to work with a personalized combination of gates, doors, and lighting.

However, the most convenient feature comes in the form of the Nissan Intelligent Key, which, at the press of a button, positions the driver’s seat and the side mirrors according to a pre-set configuration.

Interested in the 2016 Murano? Come over to Coast Nissan and get a taste of new age engineering.

Safety Features of the 2016 Nissan Murano

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

2016-nissan-murano-around-view-monitor-large

The 2016 Nissan Murano is a magnificent vehicle that offers reliable performance and state of the art features; but the brilliance doesn’t just end there. The new Murano also comes loaded with a fantastic set of safety features.

To start off with the basics, the Murano boasts of Nissan’s Advanced Air Bag System, which means, there are dual-stage supplemental airbags at the front. These airbags come with occupant-classification and seat-belt sensors. The airbags inflate at a rate that is determined by the intensity or severity of the crash and whether the seat belts are in use or not.

If that isn’t enough, the Murano also offers supplemental knee airbags on the driver’s side for front and side impacts. Then, there are the supplemental airbags on the roof with rollover sensors that offer overhead protection to the occupants.

Also, another set of side-impact airbags run along the roof to offer protection to all three rows of seated occupants.

Added to the Murano’s bouquet of safety features is the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) with Traction Control System (TCS). The VDC, also referred to as Stability Control, controls over-steer or under-steer by monitoring the driver’s braking and steering maneuvers.

The TCS, on the other hand, senses wheel spin or slip and addresses the issue by cutting down on the throttle and boosting traction. This ensures that you never move away from the desired path of motion.

These are just a handful of safety features found in the 2016 Nissan Murano. To get a complete idea of how safe this vehicle is, come on down to Coast Nissan and take a look for yourself.

Nissan Doesn’t Want You Falling Asleep While Driving

Friday, March 25th, 2016

nissan-driver-attention-alert-display

One of the most frightening prospects that drivers face behind the wheel is the potential to fall asleep while operating the vehicle. On a long drive or under a condition when sleeping enough the night before simply wasn’t an option this possibility becomes very real with the potential to turn fatal. Luckily, Nissan has come up with a solution to mitigate the risk of injury while drowsy at the wheel. The Driver Attention Alert system is an all new technology that could play a significant role in detecting erratic driving caused due to inattention or drowsiness.

The technology uses the help of steering angle sensors and determines the input patterns of driving in order to create a snapshot of how you had been driving on an average basis. Subsequently, it compares following driving patterns with that of the recent snapshot in order to find out the steering corrections statistically and if they are within the norm for that respective driver.

If the technology determines that the drive is likely operating the vehicle while drowsy or inattentive, it will alert the driver through an audible chime. Additionally it will illuminate an amber coffee cup on the instrument panel along with the message “Take a Break.” The Driver Attention Alert system even monitors other driving inconsistencies such as lane changes, poor road conditions and braking events.

To see this incredible technology for yourself and to see it in execution, we encourage you to visit Coast Nissan and speak with a member of our sales staff. We will enthusiastically showcase to you how Nissan is helping to ensure safety on the roads.
