Find The Best Crossover Of 2017 With The Nissan Murano

Nissan Murano 2

Today, crossovers have become incredibly common for both families and car enthusiasts alike. A quick scan across any parking lot in America will reveal a whole host of crossovers, like they were shaped from a cookie cutter. Nissan pioneered the class with its release of the Murano back in 2003, and later added the Rogue, Juke, Pathfinder and Armada to diversify the lineup. The Murano will always be the gold standard of crossovers though, and 2017 is bringing exciting changes and additions to this already stellar car.

The Murano has four different trim levels that are perfect for customizing exactly which features you want. The car has always been known for its classy style and elegant look, and the interior of the vehicle reflects that as well. Its complex combination of curves and angles on the outside will turn many heads, but the pearlescent trim and Cashmere color palette of the leather dashboard will create pure jealousy. Smartphone connectivity and an easy to use infotainment system provide all the additional tools you need to make your ride entertaining and fun.

Nissan Murano

The #Murano strives to balance fashion with functionality; a great look means nothing after all if actually driving it is difficult or seems like a chore. Safety features on this crossover include blind spot warning, to detect when it is all clear to change lanes, and rear cross traffic alerts, which monitors dangerous movement behind your car. And just in case you had a late night out with friends or a long and stressful day at work, the car can arouse you from a drowsy or inattentive state.

This stand out crossover is available at Coast Nissan, along with the rest of the 2017 lineup. You can also find us online at www.coastnissan.com.

Electric And Self-Driving Cars Become New Focus Of Nissan

Nissasn leaf

At this point, electric and self-driving cars are on the fast track to becoming the biggest developments the car industry have ever seen. Electric cars are environmentally friendly and they require no gasoline, which reduces costs for consumers and emits no greenhouse gases. Self-driving cars provide drivers a way to escape the boredom of traffic or having to go thirty miles down the highway. Recently, Nissan released the changes they are making in order to stay at the forefront of these market.

For electric cars, Nissan has always been an industry pioneer since the introduction of the Leaf, which was one of the first commercially viable electric cars. As battery technology has been improved over the last couple of years and storage capacities are becoming more viable for everyday drivers, more people are making the switch. The latest Nissan Leaf will offer a 100+ mile range with even more horsepower. Nissan has also been hard at work installing charging stations in thousands of cities across America in order to provide “fuel” for travelers who need a quick recharge.

Nissan has been heavily investing into researching self-driving cars. They have already sold a line of optional autonomous minivans in Japan, and over 60 percent of people took that option. Clearly the public is craving self-driving cars, so Nissan is going to bring it to them. Nissan estimates that their first commercially viable self-driving car will be available by 2020, so keep your eyes on the near future.

You can experience the #Leaf for yourself at Coast Nissan, along with the rest of the newest vehicles. Our website at www.coastnissan.com can also help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Nissan Produces Two New Limited Edition Cars

nissan logo 1

Small batch production is fairly rare in the car industry. It involves hundreds or thousands of hours of additional work in order to engineer a model that is significantly different from the base car, as well as the added strain on the manufacturing staff. However, for certain celebrations, milestones or events a limited production of a certain car can be a great way for car makers to give drivers a thematic variation of a vehicle. Recently, Nissan created two small batch models, the Rogue: Star Wars Edition and the Juke Black Pearl.

In order to celebrate the release of the new Star Wars movie, Nissan partnered with LucasArts in order to give dedicated fans a car that symbolizes the franchise. Special decals and reminders of the timeless movies will be present all throughout the car, and included with each one is a limited edition death trooper helmet. The limited edition Rogue will also feature all the latest upgrades that 2017 has brought to the model, including an optional hybrid engine and improved safety features. Act quickly in order to reserve your car or buy one as a gift for your family’s Star Wars enthusiast.

Nissan Juke Black Pearl

The #BlackPearl is a modified version of the Nissan Juke, and will be even more limited in availability than the Rogue. It is the first example of the new Juke Color Studio, which allows users to customize nearly every possible color option on the car. The Black Pearl will come with black base paint, wheels and interior, but with several touches of white on areas like the mirrors, door handles and bumper trim.

Nissan Tests The Limits Of Fuel Efficiency With E-Power Engine

shutterstock_191693912

When choosing a new car to buy, you take into account a number of different factors. Qualities such as design, interior material choice and horsepower all can play a big role in deciding if a certain vehicle fits your lifestyle well. One of the most important traits to consider however is the gas mileage, which can save you hundreds if not thousands of dollars over the course of the car’s lifetime. Nissan’s new e-Power engine, which can be found on the upcoming Nissan Note, is looking to be a revolutionary development as it has drastically boosted the fuel economy of the car.

The e-Power engine is a replacement for traditional combustion engines, and works in a slightly different way. It still makes use of a combustion system, but it takes that energy and uses it to power an electric motor that drives the car forward. The first test prototype of this engine also rivals the horsepower and torque output of internal combustion engines, allowing you to save on gas without losing any driving power or acceleration. Thanks to this engine’s S mode, it can reduce gas consumption by operating at the lowest revs.

So just how much can this engine save you? The latest test drive on the streets of Yokohama yielded an average of a whopping 88 miles per gallon. This is easily over 50 miles per gallon more than most hybrid sedans in the U.S. and 60 more than traditional gas-powered cars. If you think that may just be one test drive, the official, JCo8-sanctioned consumption is 87.5 miles per gallon. Even over rough terrain such as hills, the car still gets over 50 miles per gallon.

The latest #NissanNote equipped with e-Power will be available for purchase at Coast Nissan in the near future. You can check out all our current deals and extensive inventory in person or online at www.coastnissan.com.

Nissan 3 JUKE R gets high performance upgrade

Nissan Reinvents The Hybrid Engine

nissan logo 1

When it comes to brilliant design and new innovations, Nissan is always coming out with something new. The latest endeavor of their engineers is something known as e-Power, which will be present on the all new Nissan Note. It’s a new twist on the typical internal combustion engines that powers most cars, and it operates essentially like a hybrid vehicle. Come explore this latest technological masterpiece that has already found a home in upcoming Nissan cars.

The typical hybrid engine works in a simple way. It still has a regular internal combustion engine, but it is supported by an electric motor that runs off a battery. By using a method known as recursion, the car is able to charge the battery while the car is braking. This ensures great gas mileage for hybrid cars as the engine can rely on both gasoline and electricity, depending on how fast you want to go.

An e-powered car operates a little bit differently. The motor works primarily as a generator, providing electricity which charges the battery. The internal combustion engine itself is not linked to the wheels, but rather an electrical engine is. This is what provides power to get the wheels turning. Most importantly, these changes allow the internal combustion engine to operate at the revs best suited for a lower power consumption, saving on electricity and gas. The best part about these engines is that they can output horsepower levels at the same levels as regular gas powered cars, meaning you don’t have to compromise.

Come check out our wonderful lineup of cutting edge cars at Coast Nissan, especially when #ePower arrives in the latest models. You can also find us online at www.coastnissan.com.

Rediscover The Outdoors With The New NV Passenger From Nissan

Nissan NV passenger

When it comes to camping, there are many considerations to take before embarking on your wilderness adventure. There is all the food and supplies you will need, along with sleeping bags and tents for everyone involved. And of course you can’t forget all the sporting equipment for some intense kayaking or canoes for a calmer ride. But the biggest question is, where are you going to fit all this? If you love long outdoor trips and need a versatile ride that will bring you and your friends off road with no trouble, then consider the new Nissan NV Passenger.

While it may look a bit strange at first, the design has been perfected to balance cargo space as well as passenger seating. Most companies don’t offer a full size van that is not a mini-van, but Nissan knows that sometimes you need all the space you can get. The design ensures you get the maximum storage possible for all your essentials, and also comes with something no other company offers: removable split seating. This means the NV can work around how many people you need to bring along, with a total of 324 different seating combinations to experiment with. That’s right–324!

But the best part is that you don’t have to be a dedicated outdoorsman in order to appreciate all the NV Passenger has to offer. The versatility of the car is unmatched by any competitor, and the V8 engine is perfect for driving off road or just down the highway. The #NVPassenger is also equipped to tow your toughest loads, so you never have to leave those extra jet skis or cargo at home.

Come fully explore this unique full-size van at Coast Nissan, where our friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have. You can also check out our entire stock of new and pre-owned vehicles online at www.coastnissan.com.

Come See How Nissan Is Changing The Way Businesses Use Company Cars

shutterstock_191693912

Nissan has always been a pioneer in electric car technology. From releasing the first economic electric car to creating the first battery that can propel an electric car for over 100 miles, Nissan is always pushing the boundaries of technology. The company’s latest endeavor has been more focused on creating more efficient and emission free solutions for business, including a brand new fleet of test cars at their research facility in the United Kingdom.

At the Nissan Technical Centre Europe, Nissan is testing a new direct to grid integration system for its electric cars. This small project consists of eight company vehicles that are always plugged in. When an employee needs to go out for whatever reason, they are able to use these electric cars to get to their destination and back. The range on the cars is perfect for the short trips into town or to a meeting at a local restaurant, and being electric cars they produce no harmful emissions. Additionally, this system ensures the cars are always charged and ready to use, unlike a gas powered card which needs to be refueled.

The most important part of this system is its direct grid integration. Because of this, they can both receive electricity as well as give back in times of greater stress. These cars essentially act as extra electrical storage for the larger grid, while still operating like a normal car whenever necessary. Vice president for Vehicle Design and Development David Moss commented, “It gives us the opportunity to showcase to the world how the energy management systems Nissan is developing can work in a real-life business situation.”

Electric cars are quickly becoming the way of the future, so head down to Coast Nissan for a look at the Nissan Leaf. We also have a great selection of the newest Nissan models, and you can find us online at www.coastnissan.com.

Be Confident In Your Safety With Nissan’s Safety Shield System

Nissan Coast

Each time you go for a drive you should feel confident in your car. Confident in the ability to navigate through the city and highway smoothly and quickly. Confident that your car has been designed and built to be reliable and powerful. But most importantly, you should be confident that the safety features can keep you and your passengers out of harm’s way. With Nissan’s patented Safety Shield technology, you can put your mind at ease knowing the system is hard at work monitoring, responding and protecting.

Monitoring is the first big feature of the #SafetyShield system. Without this step, the car would not be able to react to or even identify problems in the car or the environment. The car monitors the weather conditions and proper tire inflation, as well as alerting the driver to dangerous situations. This includes technology such as predictive forward collision warning and blind spot warning, both of which track how nearby cars are moving.

Responding does exactly what the name suggests: reacting to the changes that the monitoring system detects. This means in the event of an impending forward collision it can automatically brake the car if the driver does not respond to the alert themselves. This is key for avoiding accidents. This system also includes features like traction control for bad weather and brake force distribution which accounts for extra passenger weight.

Finally, Nissan’s design choices include numerous airbags and head restraints to minimize the impact of a collision and protect loved ones. Nissan cars also include both a LATCH and SNUG system which work with child seats to keep them secure.

Nissan is always committed to keeping you and your family safe, so come test drive the new Altima or Maxima at Coast Nissan. You can also check out all our safety precautions online at www.coastnissan.com.
