Conquer Life On The Go With The Nissan Rogue Sport

Tuesday, January 31st, 2017

Nissan Rogue 2017 5 One of the best aspects of the crossover SUV class is its versatility. Everyone needs a car that can get them to work safely and efficiently, but many sedans or hatchbacks don’t offer the option to head off road or be adventurous. These sporty and practical cars are ready to handle whatever life may offer, from driving in highway traffic to exploring national parks. If you want a good looking car that can do anything, then head over to Coast Nissan for a closer look at the 2017 Nissan Rogue.

Crossovers are all about combining performance with cargo and seating, and the Rogue handles both with ease. The clean lines and integrated V-motion grille give the car a powerful look, which is more then backed up by its 2.5 L engine that is perfectly capable of towing smaller loads. This year’s model even has an available #hybrid option that boosts both the city and highway fuel efficiency by about 6 mpg, with the added benefit of fewer emissions. The interior is also impressive, with a large trunk space that can be enlarged by folding down the second row of seating. With Nissan’s Divide-N-Hide setup that includes reversible trunk floor panels, you can make room for any larger outdoor gear or weekend getaway essentials.

Also new for 2017 is the Nissan Rogue Sport, which is designed perfectly for life on the go. It has premium interior accents and available heated seats, along with plenty of extra smart places to store cords, snacks, glasses or whatever you might need. It also features Nissan’s latest Advanced Drive-Assist Display, which shows directions, phone messages or calls and driving mode on an easy to read display near the speedometer. This way you don’t have to glance away from the road every few seconds trying to decipher your GPS or notifications.

Let #CoastNissan help you find your next family outing destination with this look at the highlights of the county. You won’t want to miss any of these!

Farmer’s Market:

One of the most exciting events to attend no matter where you are is a Farmer’s Market, and San Luis Obispo does it better than anyone. If you are looking for an exciting Thursday evening, cruise your Versa over to the massive Farmer and County Markets down on Higuera Street. This tradition has been going strong for 30 years, and is a great opportunity to buy some fresh fruits and vegetables from local growers. You can also find plenty of handmade trinkets and charismatic entertainers to make your evening even more fun. If you want a particular selection of foods though, many markets have their own specialties. Avila Beach and Morro Bay will rock your world with seafood, while the Templeton market is perfect for aspiring or amateur chefs.

Hearst Castle:

If you are looking for a more historic and grandiose attraction, then you can’t go wrong with the Hearst Castle. William Randolph Hearst built this marvel as his dream home, and it is filled with extravagant pictures, sculptures and architecture. Located just a short drive north down Highway 1, this 250,000-acre estate has four unique homes with plenty of rooms, gardens and even a private zoo to explore. The best parts though are the golden swimming pools that gleam with beauty.

Nissan Pushes For Bolder And More Modern Sedan Look

Thursday, January 26th, 2017

2017 is already looking to be a fantastic year for car companies and consumers, with a slew of new models and changes being revealed. So much has already happened, from the Consumer Electronics Show to the latest North American International Auto Show, and manufacturers like Nissan have already shown off some interesting prototypes. Nissan’s latest creation is a new concept car that is focused more on visual appearance rather than a high powered engine. Come take a closer look at the V-motion 2.0 model that looks to shake up the sedan class.

Over that last couple of design cycles, Nissan has been putting more emphasis on #personalization and visual beauty. One of the biggest reasons for this is the approach of autonomous cars, which when used will lessen the importance of the driving experience. That’s not to say Nissan models aren’t fun to drive; each car has an engine that is perfectly tuned to maximize performance while still maintaining a high fuel efficiency. The look of a car will always be important, no matter who is driving the car, and this V-motion 2.0 design is certainly eye catching.

Nissan V-Grille

This feature is an improvement on the already established V-motion grille, which can be found on most Nissan models today. This update will stretch the “V” grille further along the front of the car, creating sharp edges and powerful lines, which Nissan describes as, “emotional geometry.” The larger grille also has the added bonus of providing more airflow to the engine, which can naturally cool it down. New lights and glowing LEDs have also been added to indicate when the car is in autonomous mode.

At Coast Nissan, we’re excited about the new technology on the horizon. Coast Nissan is the number one San Luis Obispo car dealer for buying a new or pre-owned Nissan model thanks to our personalized customer car. We will do everything we can to make sure your new car or Nissan service is just how you like it, so check us out online at www.coastnissan.com.

Nissan Shares Its Vision Of The Future Of Cars

Wednesday, January 25th, 2017

nissan logo 1

The 2017 North American International Auto Show, or NAIAS for short, brought together numerous car manufacturers and designers for some engaging discussions in the future of transportation. CEOs and lead engineers presented in front of large crowds at the event, including Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn. Ghosn is one of the most vocal leaders of the car industry, and in his talk he listed numerous areas that must be addressed in the coming future. Notably, he focused on four topics: electric cars, autonomy, self-driving cars and applications.

Electric Cars: These small but efficient vehicles have been around for a long time, and making sure they are more affordable and have a longer range in the future is critical. A battery powered car has no emissions and can be charged in as little as 30 minutes. The 2017 Nissan Leaf is a great example.

Autonomy and Self Driving Cars: These two are generally grouped together, as #autonomous cars only require minimal human input. Many automakers have pledged to make these commercial available by 2020, including Nissan, and Ghosn urged others to stick to that promise. They will definitely be the face of driving in the future.

Applications: As smartphones become better integrated with cars, we can begin to use them more efficiently than ever. Voice activated commands and the ability to add events to your calendar are just a few of features companies are researching. The possibilities are endless if every car can be connected to each other. It will also make self-driving cars safer if they can communicate with other vehicles.

Nissan has always been a proud innovator and leader, so stop by Coast Nissan today to see why our cars are the best you can buy. Our San Luis Obispo car dealership has all the newest 2017 models along with quick and effective Nissan service, so check us out online at www.coastnisssan.com.

Explore The Galaxy In A Brand New Nissan Rogue

Monday, January 23rd, 2017

Nissan Rogue 2017 1 Since the invention of the television, ads have been a big part of spreading the word about a new product or service. Ads and commercials have come a long way since then, and most now feature a captivating narrator and some interesting graphics or special effects. Car commercials are one of the most common types you will see, and they help show all the new features or tech on the latest models. Currently, the Nissan Rogue has partnered with Star Wars to create the most viewed commercial so far, which also illustrates the vehicle’s amazing safety features.

A big part of a car’s success comes from how it is advertised, along with how the vehicle lives up to those expectations. Nissan’s latest video for the Rogue shows it traversing a chaotic Star Wars battle, with zooming spaceships, large walkers and tons of blaster fire. This commercial holds the number one views spot, with around 3.4 million according to Visible Measures. And while the visuals are great to look at, the spot also highlights the safety features on the car like emergency forward braking and blind spot detection.

At one point, the car is stopped by the emergency forward braking system as a robot stumbles out into the road in front of the #Rogue. This could easily happen on any city street or even if a car suddenly shifts into the space in front of you on a highway. Emergency forward braking will look out for these unexpected obstacles and automatically bring the car to a halt. Additionally, the blind spot warning and rearview detection software keeps track of all the cars moving around you, so you don’t have to worry about making a lane change.

Nissan Rogue 2017 2

At Coast Nissan we can show you all these safety features and more on the all-new 2017 Nissan Rogue. Come take a test drive with one of our sales staff, or check out our fantastic Nissan leases and Nissan service online at www.coastnissan.com.

Nissan Looks To Continue Smashing Sales Records In 2017

Thursday, January 19th, 2017

shutterstock_191693912 When looking forward to 2017, it is helpful to look at how sales trends have changed over the past year. One of car companies that has put the auto industry back on track to growth is Nissan, who experienced an 8.3% increase in sales. While many other competitors struggled to even post a positive return, Nissan led the charge with its wide selection of sedans, crossover SUVs and pickups. All Nissan models are crafted with care, and come with all the latest features in a stylish design.

One of the leading reasons for Nissan’s profound success in 2016 was their commitment to creating consumer friendly cars. Nissan offers several sedans that are fun to drive and still offer all the amenities for families and single drivers. Smartphone integration and USB connectors allow you to stream all your music and media through the car speakers and charge the phone at the same time. The Nissan Altima has a perfectly sized interior and comfortable seating for up to five people, while the Versa offers a more compact and lightweight ride. Both cars sport a powerful and responsive engine that is sure to make each drive enjoyable.

The most popular vehicle class of last year was the #crossover SUV, and the Nissan Rogue stood out as a shining star. The car has exceptional trunk and seating room for all your outdoor adventures and excursions. It has optional all-wheel drive for all your off-roading needs, and the sport mode makes the handling even more precise. The new 2017 Rogue is looking to be the best in its class with its new hybrid engine option that reduces emissions and boosts the fuel efficiency by around 6 mpg.

Nissan Improves Upon The Already Impressive Leaf, Again

Tuesday, January 17th, 2017

Nissan Leaf 5 The Consumer Electronic Show is an annual event that takes places in the early part of the year; for 2017 this happened to be in the first week of January. This wonderful event gives companies an opportunity to show off some of the coolest and most fun gadgets that will find their ways to shelves during the year.  Some car companies, also made the trek to the Las Vegas stage, including Nissan, who revealed the latest plans for redesigning their electric car, the Nissan Leaf.

In order to compete against the new Chevy Bolt EV and the Tesla Model 3, Nissan has invested countless hours into perfecting their own long-range electric car. The new Leaf is a part of Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility project, which is working on developing new and better electric cars and autonomous cars. It’s all but certain that these two forms of transportation will be the face of driving within the next couple of years, so Nissan is working to get a head start in the competition. The Nissan Leaf already was one of the most affordable and longest range electric cars on the market, and these latest changes only add even more.

Along with displaying a prototype that featured all the new updates, Nissan mentioned that it will have several new features. The range will be boosted to around 200 miles, a substantial leap from previous versions. It will also include better handling and more intuitive regenerative braking so even new drivers will be able to operate an electric car with ease.  Nissan is also planning on adding #ProPILOT technology in the near future that will self-drive the car on single-lane highways.

Nissan Makes Use Of NASA Software To Keeps Drivers Safe

Monday, January 16th, 2017

shutterstock_191693912 Autonomous or self-driving cars may seem far away, but many companies already have working prototypes and even have plans to release them by 2020. Nissan is already using a fleet of hybrid electric cars to pull trailers filled with newly produced vehicles down to the port that they are shipped from. To make this seemingly futuristic car at the moment requires a just as complicated and alien software, which is why Nissan is integrating technology that NASA used on the Mars Rover to help manage its fleets.

With any autonomous or electric car like the Nissan Leaf, having the proper software to manage the electronics is incredibly important for running the car properly. The Nissan Leaf has one of the longest ranges on the market right now, thanks to its regenerative braking and efficient use of its energy. Using too little or too much power in electric car can make it difficult to drive or significantly cut the range, so Nissan has always made sure it has the most advanced and up to date tools installed in the car. This includes all the physical components of the car and battery to the power management programs in the on-board computer.

shutterstock_317811290For Nissan’s upcoming autonomous cars, they are using NASA’s Seamless Autonomous Mobility (SAM) program that has been used on several successful robots. Self-driving cars handle expected several expected situations well, but can falter when it comes to unusual or unpredictable scenarios. The SAM system is great at analyzing the images and sensor data to engineer an effective and safe response to these situations. It can even contact a “mobility manager” who is able to find the right route or response in the event of something truly strange.

At #CoastNissan, we specialize in finding people the right car or Nissan lease to meet their needs, like a used Nissan Leaf. Like autonomous cars, we can analyze your situation and find the right path, so come on in or visit us online at www.coastnissan.com.
