Nissan Recognized for its Tremendous Efforts to Protect the Environment

The Japanese automaker, Nissan, has once again been recognized for going above and beyond to protect the environment. Nissan was recently recognized by several organizations that are dedicated to protecting the environment as the winner of the ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year Award. This is the fourth consecutive year that the automaker has received the Sustained Excellence Award for its efforts in making its operations more energy efficient. John Martin, Senior Vice President, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management and Purchasing, said: “Since Nissan became an ENERGY STAR partner in 2006, we have made continual improvements to our operations, which has helped us reduce both our environmental footprint and manufacturing costs.
