Although rearview cameras will not be required on all new cars until May 2018, Nissan has already taken steps forward by adding the benefits of a camera to the rearview mirror. The “Smart Rearview Mirror” may appear to look like a standard mirror; however, the driver is able to flip a switch in order to get a much clearer view of what is behind the car. This makes it easy to see behind tall passengers, headrests and piles of suitcases.
