Nissan Rogue - One of the Highest Rated SUVs this year in terms of safety

The much touted 2016 Nissan Rogue has not only drawn people’s imagination in terms of its style and performance, its safety features have attained accolades as well. In fact, the car garnered an overall four-star rating from National Traffic Safety Administration where five stars happen to be the highest rating.

To be more precise, the car got four stars for the front crash examination, five stars for the side crash examination and four stars for the rollover crash examination. The rating is applicable for both the all-wheel-drive and front-wheel-drive of the car.

The car was entirely redesigned for the model year 2014. The 2016 version is a carryover version with very little changes. The safety enhancements include forward-emergency braking added for the 2016 Rogue SL Premium version and a blind-spot warning mechanism modified to radar-based from camera-based.

The normal safety devices on the car include vehicle dynamic control, six airbags, traction control and antilock brakes. The 2016 version of Rogue hasn’t yet been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety though.

The Nissan Rogue happens to be a compact and crossover SUV that was unveiled in the month of October, 2007. The version has undergone improvement a few times since its launch. It has been ranked as one of the most popular SUVs in the North American markets.
