The Goodwood Festival of Speed whisked the curtains off Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. The car is of a radically new design and represents how Nissan made cars will look in the future. The car is conceptualized with tapping the brains behind the iconic video game Gran Turismo.

The Gran Turismo program started as a dream. It was first conceptualized by a group of designers working at Nissan offices in London. The designers are the Nissan Design Europe did not begin by trying to create a viable concept car. The original aim was to simply build a virtual car. If the original aim continued to remain, this car would simply have remained in the minds of design team members and also on the screens of gamer equipment all over the world.

However, it was not to be. The design was extremely successful. So good was the design that it came to the notice of the Nissan Technical Center’s advanced engineering team in Japan. The car was subsequently studied and put through rigorous simulations. Comprehensive technical evaluations were also made. It soon became apparent that Nissan has a perfectly viable design on its computer screens. This led Nissan the impetus to create the beautiful 3D model.

The Nissan company has subsequently announced that although it appreciated video games, the company specialize in the creation of vehicles suitable for the real world.
