The Goodwood Festival of Speed held in June 2016 unveiled Nissan’s most radical design yet for its cars: Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. It represents a true vision of the company. The Vision Gran Turismo shows what the future vehicles of Nissan performance will look like.

Nissan created the car by collaborating with the architects behind the creators of Gran Turismo. The latter is a franchise of an extremely popular driving game. The car company was involved with the gaming company since the time the game’s first version was unleased to the public in 1998.

A virtual avatar of this car was placed into the Gran Turismo game version. Now in its sixth iteration, gamers could now discover exactly what can be possible with Concept 2020. This process is nothing new. The same ploy was followed with Nissan’s earlier models too- like GT-R, 370Z and Skyline.

The Vision Gran Turismo program started as a dream project. The dreamers were a few designers working from London at the Nissan Design Europe. The aim at that time, however, was much different. The initial action was not to create a concept car- but to simply formulate a virtual car. The car was to remain exclusively in the minds of design team members.
