Keep Your Car’s Electrical Systems Running Smoothly With Regular Service

So much of our life nowadays depends on electricity. From the phone or alarm clock that wakes you up in the morning, to the lights you flick on to make the room brighter and the coffee pot you switch on to start brewing, every modern convenience take a few watts to run. One of the most crucial #electrical systems is the one in your car, and in order keep everything working properly and reliably it is important to have your car serviced regularly. Here are just a few of the many electrical problems that Coast Nissan, your San Luis Obispo car dealer, can fix.

Brake Lights And Headlights

Both your brake lights and headlights are essential for a safe driving experience. Without powerful beams to guide you through the dark, navigating at night is almost impossible and very dangerous. Your brake lights help to signal following drivers that you are slowing down and should be repaired as soon as possible.

Dashboard And Infotainment System

While it isn’t necessarily dangerous that the LEDs on your dashboard aren’t illuminated, it can certainly be an inconvenience and more strenuous when driving at night. Your Nissan’s infotainment system also offers a number of features that make driving more enjoyable, like Android and Apple Car Play, as well real-time navigation so you always get to your destination on time.

Battery Problems

If the battery runs for too long, your car can sometimes fail to start. Often the solution is simply to jump it with cables and another battery, but in rare cases the battery can be truly dead. It can be helpful to have a backup, but if you don’t own one then Coast Nissan will happily supply and help install a replacement. Nissan Brings Faster Charging And More Range To The New Leaf

Nissan 4 revealed the 2016 LEAF

With Chevy having released the specs for their new Bolt and Tesla continuing to pump out improvements, many have been wondering when Nissan would announce the changes to their electric car, the Leaf. Well wonder no more. With the 2017 update, Nissan has expanded the mileage range and updated the charging speed with a new 30-kWh battery pack.

The #NissanLeaf was the first economic electric car on the market, and it has continued to evolve in efficiency, speed and reliability over the years. For 2017, the previous 24-kWh battery packed was upgraded to a 30-kWh battery that enhances the range from approximately 85 miles to a powerful 107 miles. This is more than enough for most American’s daily needs, which is typically around 30 miles. Even when moving around the kids from school and heading to work, the total distance is well within the driving limits of the Leaf. And in order to help people who want to take longer road trips or vacation drives, Nissan has some helpful developments.

The latest Leaf has DC fast charging technology standard across the whole fleet, which can power you up quickly while on the go. Additionally, many companies, including Nissan, have invested heavily into implementing new fast charging stations in cities all across the country. This way, charging up is fast, easy and cheap, especially with Nissan’s new program which will provide new Leaf owners with free charging at these stations for two years. Say hello to saving not only on gas, but on electricity as well!

To be a part of the quickly growing electric car craze, head down to Coast Nissan for an exciting test drive. You can also check us out online at www.coastnissan.com.
