The Nissan Rogue Combines Performance And Efficiency

Making its official debut back in late 2016 alongside the hit Star Wars movie, Rogue One, the Nissan Rogue has also captivated audiences everywhere thanks to its versatility and efficiency. While sedans are great for everyday city driving and larger SUVs or trucks are fine for off-road exploring, no car can combine the two like a crossover. With its new hybrid engine and healthy stock of practical and fun features, a Nissan Rogue from Coast Nissan is perfect for heading off to work each day or planning a weekend camping trip.

Save Money With A Better Fuel Rating

Though it can’t travel at light speed or navigate through space, the engine options for the 2017 Nissan Rogue still pack a punch while saving you money at the pump. The hybrid option is the most popular, and consists of a typical 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that interfaces with at 30-kWh electric motor. This combination outputs around 176 horsepower, which is better than many pure-gasoline models. The electric engine boosts the already impressive fuel efficiency of the combustion engine up to a 33/35 mpg city/highway rating, making this car great for long road trips or efficient city driving. The Rogue’s engine also features continuously variable transmission, which ensures a smooth transition between shift points.

Spacious Interior Options

Along with its dynamic driving capabilities, the #NissanRogue has a luxurious interior that passengers will find warm and welcoming. The back seats have ample head and leg-room so even your tallest friends will feel comfortable, and the generous 30 cubic feet of trunk space is enough for all your sports equipment or suitcases. The touchscreen infotainment system displays real time directions so you always have the fastest route on hand, and improved insulation means you can enjoy a conversation without having to shout over the rush of the highway.

All of these features and more made the #Rogue Nissan’s top selling vehicle in 2016, so stop by Coast Nissan for a test drive of the updated 2017 model. The Nissan Rogue’s New Engine Sets Fuel Efficiency Standard

Nissan Rogue 1

Crossover SUVs are the jack of all trades of the car world. They have plenty of seating for families, along with a spacious trunk for vacations and grocery shopping. While they may not be the absolute best in every aspect, they look good and can adapt well to every task you are likely to encounter. The Nissan Rogue has transitioned itself into this class with its latest changes for this year, which make it very fuel efficient and fun to drive.

Most compact or crossover SUVs have a powertrain gas engine or electric/gas hybrid that allows them to reach a fuel economy of around 25 miles per gallon. The hybrid engine option on the new Nissan Rogue will put it above major competitors like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, with a combined average of 33 mpg. This is also 6 mpg better than the traditional engine on the Nissan Rogue, and the small upgrade cost will be quickly made up for in savings at the pump. You also get a panoramic glass roof with the hybrid package, which looks good and gives a stunning view of all the stars at night.

The best part about the Rogue’s new engine though is its responsiveness and power. According to several tests performed by Forbes, the hybrid model feels identical to the traditional combustion engine when it comes to dynamic driving. Just because you are buying a hybrid doesn’t mean every drive shouldn’t be enjoyable, and this car packs quite the punch. Nissan Reinvents The Hybrid Engine

nissan logo 1

When it comes to brilliant design and new innovations, Nissan is always coming out with something new. The latest endeavor of their engineers is something known as e-Power, which will be present on the all new Nissan Note. It’s a new twist on the typical internal combustion engines that powers most cars, and it operates essentially like a hybrid vehicle. Come explore this latest technological masterpiece that has already found a home in upcoming Nissan cars.

The typical hybrid engine works in a simple way. It still has a regular internal combustion engine, but it is supported by an electric motor that runs off a battery. By using a method known as recursion, the car is able to charge the battery while the car is braking. This ensures great gas mileage for hybrid cars as the engine can rely on both gasoline and electricity, depending on how fast you want to go.

An e-powered car operates a little bit differently. The motor works primarily as a generator, providing electricity which charges the battery. The internal combustion engine itself is not linked to the wheels, but rather an electrical engine is. This is what provides power to get the wheels turning. Most importantly, these changes allow the internal combustion engine to operate at the revs best suited for a lower power consumption, saving on electricity and gas. The best part about these engines is that they can output horsepower levels at the same levels as regular gas powered cars, meaning you don’t have to compromise.
