Nissan Races 2016 Micra

The Nissan Micra, available in Canada, is a relatively low costing vehicle starting at just $10,000. Surprisingly, this small vehicle is used for races across the country. This subcompact car, though not the most flashy car on the market, holds its own when pitted against other vehicles.

A Nissan Mirca Cup Car is similar to the regular model, but doesn’t have the usual bonuses most of the models have. However, it does decrease the weight of the vehicle. This also increases the safety of the driver. Though the Nissan Mirca Cup Car lacks rear seats, the front seats are high quality racing seats with three-point harnesses. A roll cage and window net was added to the car, which is a “must” in all racing vehicles. Nissan uses elements from its other vehicles to outfit the model with the best technology the little car can handle. The brakes have been swapped out with race quality brakes on both the front and rear wheels of the vehicle.

With a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, the Nissan Mirca Cup Car emits 109 horsepower. The engine on the Mirca doesn’t go through any changes from the regular road car edition of the Mirca. Though there is no boost of power from add-ons, the Mirca can still travel quickly due to its weight of 2,200 pounds. The unique qualities of this car make it fun to drive on the race track. It has a unique combination of low power, great tires and strong brakes that make corners easier to maneuver on the race track. To get the Nissan Mirca Cup Car ready for the track, it costs about $23,000—a reasonable price for a race ready car.

Though this model isn’t the same as the standard Nissan Mirca, Nissan proves a great car isn’t defined by the numbers on the price tag or the spec list.
