Nissan is on fire! The motorsport team has been bringing home the gold – and the silver and the bronze. In fact, this past weekend, the Japanese automaker’s Motorsport team scored eight podium wins, across three different races at the Miller Motorsports Park. Rick Kulach, Manager of Nissan North America Motorsports, said: “This team knew what it had to do at Sonoma, and that is finish as high as possible, take away points and bring the cars home in one piece. They did just that, and they were as fast as they could be on a tight circuit while keeping the cars mechanically sound and basically ready to race in two weeks down the coast. In fact, since partnering with BankPlus, together over $560,000 was donated to local schools since the Mini-Grant Program was first created in 2007 through this partnership. Matt Simmons, the most recent 2015 Nissan PlayStation GT Academy winner  has received an opportunity of a lifetime. The 26-year old is currently preparing to race in some of the world’s best known races. In a recent interview, Simmons said: “I was driving a courier van around Brisbane. It’s an old-school Toyota, we called it the bean, because it looked like a massive bean. The Nissan Motorsport team recently brought home several big wins from Utah. The Motorsport team collected a total of eight podium wins across three different classes. The honorary vehicles were the Nissan Altima 3.5, 370Z and the GT-R. Vesko Kozarov, drove his Altima 3.5 to victory three times and was dubbed the star of the weekend after winning three Touring Car rounds. Earlier this week, the Japanese automaker, Nissan, announced its recent partnership with the Tennessee Titans in order to donate $25,000 and sponsor the Wounded Warrior Project, which focuses on providing support to injured veterans.
