This iteration of the Armada SUV is down-scaled to be more svelte and less hefty than the QX80, so it appears more up-to-date and desirable. In the looks category, it is like a cross between a truck and an SUV. We like the new appeal and think it will also appeal to a wider range of drivers. Plus, it’s built like truck on the inside. Just take the kit, for instance. It includes sturdy construction, 8,500 pound towing capacity, an impressive 5.6-liter, direct-injected V-8 and 390hp for enduranc, and 401 lb-ft of torque on regular gasoline. The engine is almost identical to the Infiniti, with a seven-speed automatic transmission fastened to a transfer case with a 2.70:1 low range. Wrap it up with a tremendous package of drivers-aid tech and you have a little luxury, a lot of comfort and still a rugged vehicle that can do the work and give you some off-road cred.

Manufacturing at Nissan Plant Reaches All-Time High

In Canton, Mississippi, at the Nissan plant that produced a record-breaking 33,000 vehicles in October, you won’t find any dust on the line. Executives forecast that over 350,000 vehicles will be produced there in 2015. Steve March, VP of Manufacturing, said the plant’s productivity is largely based on the strength of its workforce, which boasts over 6,000 members. “The men and women of Canton have really worked hard to get us to this. It hasn’t been without difficulties but we’ve overcome each and every one of them. It shows the commitment that Nissan has in this particular facility. We’re a global player, we’re a big player in the Nissan world, and it’s really important for us today.” The Canton-based plant is home to the production of nine vehicles, including the Nissan Titan XD. Interestingly enough, the Titan is made on the same line as the Frontier and the Murano crossover. March notes, “There’s no other facility in the Nissan world that has the same level of complexity that we do here.” To reserve your Titan XD today, visit the friendly folks at Cardinale Nissan in Seaside.
