Midsize pickups like the 2020 Nissan Frontier are becoming increasingly popular with today’s drivers. Buyers enjoy most of the benefits provided by full-size models, and they enjoy greater maneuverability, higher fuel economy, and a smaller price tag. The 2020 Frontier is known for its rugged reliability and exceptional versatility. According to the Coast Nissan Service Center in San Luis Obispo, there are five trim levels, two wheelbase sizes, two cargo beds, and Crew Cab and King Cab configurations.
To get the most from your Nissan Frontier, it’s important to bring it to our SLO Nissan Service Center for regular maintenance. Scheduled maintenance visits help keep your Frontier running properly and safely, help prevent wear and tear on the vehicle, and keep a small problem from becoming a big problem down the road. Keeping up with Nissan’s recommended maintenance schedule can save you hundreds of dollars in the long run.
We’ve listed the Nissan Frontier’s maintenance schedule to help you stay aware of which services your vehicle will need. When you're ready to get started go ahead and schedule your Nissan Service in advance right here.
5,000 Miles
Your Frontier will need an oil and oil filter change every 5,000 miles. This will keep the engine running smoothly and prevent wear. The service technicians will also rotate the tires to prevent them from wearing unevenly. An oil change and tire rotation will be part of every scheduled maintenance visit.
10,000 Miles
Every 10,000 miles, the service technicians will inspect some of the components of your Frontier, including the brakes and transmission fluid. Four-wheel drive models will get a check of the drive shaft boots and propeller shaft.
15,000 Miles
At 15,000 miles, in addition to the oil change and other services performed every 5,000 miles, the in-cabin microfilter will be replaced.
20,000 Miles
At this milestone, the brake fluid will be replaced. The service technicians will inspect the steering components, suspension, exhaust system, fuel lines and EVAP vapor lines.
30,000 Miles
In addition to the other services, the 30,000-mile service will include an air filter replacement.
40,000 Miles
At 40,000 miles, it will be time to inspect the drive belt. After this inspection, the drive belt will be checked at 10,000-mile intervals.
Later On
Your Nissan Frontier will require other part replacements down the road. The spark plugs and engine coolant will be replaced every 105,000 miles. After the initial replacement, the engine coolant will be changed every 75,000 miles.
