Nissan is proud to announce that this year four Nissan GT-R NISMO GT500 models will be competing in the 2015 Super GT Season. This weekend all race teams will be heading to the Okayama International Circuit for the opening round of the season. The Okayama International Circuit Venue is the opening round of the season while also being the exact location for the official tests held a few weeks prior to this main event. This year a total of four Nissan teams will be competing in the same powerful vehicles they used last year. The teams go as follows: #1 NISMO of Matsuda / Quintarelli riding on Michelins; Team IMPUL’s #12, driven by Hironobu Yasuda / Joao Paulo de Oliveira, running on Bridgestones; MOLA’s #46, with Satoshi Motoyama / Masataka Yanagida, also sporting Michelin; and KONDO RACING’s #24, with Michael Krumm set to be absent from the first half of the season so that he can concentrate on the Le Mans project.If you would like to read the full article please click on the link below:

This year’s Motegi Super Enhance was held at the Twin Ring Motegi in Tochigi Prefecture where car #24 was able to attain a 2^nd place finish. Although the race distance for a typical round is usually three hours, this year the opening round is set at 5 hours and the Fuji race is scheduled to be 8 hours. Tomonobu Fujii said: “”This being Motegi, a 5-hour marathon race [and tough on the brakes], even from qualifying we were concentrating intently on the car’s setup. We started the race in 2nd place and we were all careful to implement our drive according to the strategy that we had developed before hand. Nissan recently announced that it sold its 75,000^th all-electric LEAF model. The tremendous accomplishment was celebrated at the time of delivery. The Japanese automaker sold its 75,000 Nissan LEAF model to a great family in Oregon. Rishabh Mehandru of Portland, Oregon was the lucky purchaser of the black LEAF, which by the way, happens to be his second LEAF after leasing his first one two years ago. “I’m a runner, and when I ran outside I found that I was inhaling a lot of exhaust from the gas-powered cars that passed me on the roads. Nissan recently celebrated the production of its 200,000^th vehicle at its manufacturing plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Preset at the ceremony was Chief Performance Officer, Nissan Motor Corporation, Trevor Mann and Manufacturing VP, Nissan Mexico, Armando Avila – the duo was of the production team for reaching their recent milestone. Just 16 months after operations began, the Aguascalientes facility was able to deliver car numbered 200,000. The lucky vehicle was a red Nissan Sentra SR with Xtronic transmission and a 1.8-liter engine that is destined to Chicago, Illinois.
