2017 NISSAN GT-R Refined to Perfection-Part II

GT-R Coast Nissan

Now that we’ve talked enough about the exterior modifications made to the 2017 Nissan GT-R, let’s have a look at some of the internal changes received by the model.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R will be fitted with a twin-turbocharged, 3.8-liter, V-6 engine that delivers 565 horsepower via all four wheels. This indicates an increase of 20 horses as compared to last year and this is primarily due to an updated timing system and greater boost.

The rear side of the car also has a lightweight titanium exhaust and the Bilstein suspension has undergone some changes as well. It appears more aggressive with Ray wheels that have been mounted at the car’s corners. It additionally features an electrical power-steering system in the front.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R has an 8-inch touch-screen Nissan Connect system which is handled by a brand new rotary controller (fitted in between the seats). One can safely say that these features are quite superior when compared to last year’s GT-R. The most significant change in the 2017 Nissan GT-R is perhaps made to the cabin. You can now say goodbye to the rubbery and old-fashioned button-heavy interior which was first launched in 2007. It finally gets replaced by a sophisticated infotainment system that is more modern and looks quite good in the cabin. There is a lot more to find out about the new Nissan GT-R in the upcoming articles. Check out the latest Nissan models at the Coast Nissan showroom!

2017 NISSAN GT-R Refined to Perfection-Part I

GT-R Coast Nissan

Nissan GT-R’s current generation model made its debut in the year 2007. It’s now ready to get refined and come out all fresh in 2017. As far as the features of the 2017 Nissan GT-R are concerned, it will definitely have greater power and some minor suspension modifications. The interior of the car will also be refreshed. All these are quite predictable updates which almost all aging models undergo at some point or the other.

The 2017 Nissan GT-R seems to appear as good as new and definitely has a fresh feel to it. The visual modifications made to the Nissan GT-R might be difficult to spot for somebody who is not really an automobile enthusiast, especially from a distance. However, there are actually quite a lot of changes made to its exterior, particularly around the corners. The company has creased the rear and front bumpers of the GT-R and they look sharper and more aggressive than before (the inspiration possibly comes from the high-performing NISMO model). This means that this huge car can now cut through the wild wind, but slightly more elegantly.

There has also been some re-sculpting of the central part of the vehicle. It has got the popular Nissan corporate V-Motion treatment and it looks quite good on it. There has been an opening up and streamlining of the air intakes. They now offer better cooling needed for the now more pressurized engine. Walk into the Coast Nissan showroom to check out the latest Nissan vehicles.

2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid Goes On Sale in the USA, Around 600 Units Allocated

2016-nissan-murano-side-view-pacific-sunset-large

Automotive giant Nissan had showcased the Murano Hybrid at the famous Auto Shanghai last April. The North American version of this model is now being sold in the United States (starting at $40,050) and will be likely limited to 600 units only.

Reports suggest that the 2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid will be capable of offering 29 mpg combined (highway-31 mpg and city-28 mpg). On the other hand, the all-wheel-drive version works well for 28 miles/gallon combined.

The 2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid is fitted with a 2.5-liter supercharged four-banger and also offers consistently variable transmission. The car features an electric motor (20 horsepower) which can deliver torque of nearly 118 pound-feet. The Murano Hybrid will give you a decent 249 horsepower and this almost equals the output of a 3.5 L V6 engine.

It seems that Nissan doesn’t have very high expectations as far as the sale of the new Murano Hybrid is concerned. This is why it is planning to produce only 600 units of the vehicle this year. Besides low-production numbers, this new addition can be seen as a distraction from all the green-car news that has been coming out lately (with automakers discontinuing low-selling models).

The 2016 Nissan Murano Hybrid has got its certification from The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). To know more about the latest Nissan vehicles and their features, you can visit the Coast Nissan showroom today!

The Maxima Midnight Edition- Part 1

th

When the Nissan Maxima in its 2016 edition first rolled into the market, it amazed almost everybody with its dramatic redesign. The initial suspense over, the Nissan company is exhibiting what the buyers of this car can do with their possession. The Nissan Maxima SR Midnight is a sports car having four doors.

The extra equipment which builds up the 2016 edition of the Maxima SR Midnight provides this sports car a sporty and dark appearance. Although the cosmetic changes are great, car enthusiasts finds nothing extraordinary under the hood or otherwise. The Midnight is just a standard SR with a few optional equipment that comes with the car.

The 2016 year saw the Maxima model undergoing substantial transformation. This provides it with an increased daring and bolder appearance. The fact is that the car’s appearance is so daring and bold that many would either love it-or hate it. The Midnight model continues with the polarizing appearance and adds a smidgen of extra sportiness to the car body. The noticeable addition is the mandatory deep-black exterior hue which Nissan terms Super Black. To match the hue, Nissan has added rocker panel moldings, rear diffuser, rear sports spoiler and splash guards. The car rolls by 19-inch aluminum wheels. The interiors of the car also went through a transformation, thus enabling this four door sports vehicle into the club of more expensive sedans.  Got to have a Nissan car? Do not fret. Nissan’s GTR 2020 Vision II

2020 vision

The Goodwood Festival of Speed whisked the curtains off Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. The car is of a radically new design and represents how Nissan made cars will look in the future. The car is conceptualized with tapping the brains behind the iconic video game Gran Turismo.

The Gran Turismo program started as a dream. It was first conceptualized by a group of designers working at Nissan offices in London. The designers are the Nissan Design Europe did not begin by trying to create a viable concept car. The original aim was to simply build a virtual car. If the original aim continued to remain, this car would simply have remained in the minds of design team members and also on the screens of gamer equipment all over the world.

However, it was not to be. The design was extremely successful. So good was the design that it came to the notice of the Nissan Technical Center’s advanced engineering team in Japan. The car was subsequently studied and put through rigorous simulations. Comprehensive technical evaluations were also made. It soon became apparent that Nissan has a perfectly viable design on its computer screens. This led Nissan the impetus to create the beautiful 3D model.

The Nissan company has subsequently announced that although it appreciated video games, the company specialize in the creation of vehicles suitable for the real world. It also said that the world is all set to welcome Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Grand Turismo.  For the best Nissan cars, drive to Coast Nissan in California.

Nissan’s GTR 2020 Vision I

2020 vision

The Goodwood Festival of Speed held in June 2016 unveiled Nissan’s most radical design yet for its cars: Nissan Concept 2020 Vision Gran Turismo. It represents a true vision of the company. The Vision Gran Turismo shows what the future vehicles of Nissan performance will look like.

Nissan created the car by collaborating with the architects behind the creators of Gran Turismo. The latter is a franchise of an extremely popular driving game. The car company was involved with the gaming company since the time the game’s first version was unleased to the public in 1998.

A virtual avatar of this car was placed into the Gran Turismo game version. Now in its sixth iteration, gamers could now discover exactly what can be possible with Concept 2020. This process is nothing new. The same ploy was followed with Nissan’s earlier models too- like GT-R, 370Z and Skyline.

The Vision Gran Turismo program started as a dream project. The dreamers were a few designers working from London at the Nissan Design Europe. The aim at that time, however, was much different. The initial action was not to create a concept car- but to simply formulate a virtual car. The car was to remain exclusively in the minds of design team members. It was also to be placed on gamer screens all over the world. The stupendous success of the design made the company’s Japan headquarters to take notice. Are you a car enthusiast? Then Nissan cars are the perfect answer. Drop in at Coast Nissan in California.

Nissan’s Zero-gravity Seat Concept

Nissan Coast

The Zero Gravity seats developed by Nissan packs a whole lot of science. This invention was originally inspired by weightlessness of space. The human body, when faced with a zero gravity environment, takes neutral spinal posture. This puts the most minimum quantity of stress on joints and bones -and thus people becomes less tired.

Engineers at Nissan put good use of these findings -and over a span of 10 years- created Zero Gravity seats. This invention radically changed the design of the entire seat to optimize both driver and passenger comfort when it came to longer drives.

The human body, in order to reduce the muscle fatigue, slumps in a natural manner. This leads to the increase in spinal bending and puts pressure on lower back. These events even lead to much more fatigue. The seat is constructed with a total of 14 distributed pressure points designed to place the driver in neutral position.

The seat has a unique shape. The structure is patented. It offers continuous support from the hips and continues all way to the shoulders. The design is natural and ergonomic. It assists to maximize the flow of blood. Energy levels are also kept up.

Prior to the development of the Zero Gravity seat, the concept was pushed through rigorous tests using driving simulators. Both overnight and distance evaluations were also made. Biomechanical analysis was also done. The list of testers included both sexes and of different body types. Got to have a Nissan car? Do not fret. Simply come over to Coast Nissan in California.
