Anytime that people can come together and enjoy an afternoon of music, food and drinks is a great time. As summer starts to arrive in San Luis Obispo, there are plenty of festivals getting ready to kick off their event filled weekends. At Coast Nissan, we love to meet new friends at these summer festivals, so here are some to be on the lookout for.

Atascadero Lakeside Wine Festival
Every good festival needs a strong theme to work with, so having a wine festival in the heart of wine country is a no brainer. From larger wineries to smaller local establishments, there is a seemingly endless supply of new brands to try and specialty batches to taste. Local artists and craft brewers will also have their creations out for purchase, and live music will play the whole weekend. There is even a zoo nearby for kids to enjoy. On Friday, you can attend the #Mayor’sWinemakerDinner, which will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of North County. There is also a golf tournament on Saturday and many wine tastings on Sunday. The cost is $60 if you purchase tickets now or $75 at the gate on June 24.

Central Coast Cider Festival
Restaurants will be jam packed with people on Mother’s Day weekends, so why not enjoy a fun afternoon with a fully catered meal at the Central Coast Cider Festival? Located at a gorgeous lakeside pavilion, this classy event features over 13 different cider producers offering up their latest and best-tasting creations. Music will be provided live by Erin and the Earthquakes, and Chef Jeffery Scott of Vineyard Events will be serving up a one-of-a-kind English Pig Roast dinner that you won’t want to miss.
