Mobileye is company that creates customized computer chips that can help cars avoid collisions. Many cars have this technology already, and use it to detect when a forward collision will occur and automatically stop the car. By integrating these new mapping chips into autonomous cars and collaborating with other vehicles, a dynamic and detailed map of any city or highway can be created. This system benefits from the participation of as many companies as possible, and BMW and Volkswagen have also committed to this project.
