One of the biggest struggles that any car company can face is managing sales and research projects from all around the globe. Over at the Tokyo Auto Salon, Nissan brought several new performance models and prototypes. They were expected to bring the new NISMO GT-R, but Nissan also showed off NISMO versions of the Juke, Fairlady Z and the March. #NISMO is Nissan’s performance car division, and they add more horsepower, better handling and more interior features to already successful cars. These cars not only look better, but also run more smoothly and efficiently.
United Kingdom:
Across the globe in London, Nissan is putting the final touches on its first test of a driverless car. This will be the first autonomous car to hit the streets in Europe, and will be a great look at Nissan’s new self-driving technology. This car is a modified Nissan Leaf that has added sensors and cameras in order to analyze how the traffic around the vehicle is changing and how best respond.
United States:
Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn recently announced that they and many other manufacturers will likely be expanding U.S. production in the near future. Toyota and Kia have already announced multibillion dollar investments, and in order to stay competitive Nissan will need to as well. Nissan already has four factories with over 22,000 employees, and further investment will create even more jobs. It should also lead to price reductions on most cars, like the popular Nissan Altima or Nissan Rogue.
