Keep Your Family Safe By Driving A Nissan Altima

The classics bring up fond memories. Whether you are remembering your favorite song in high school or the old movies you used to watch as a kid, it’s easy to appreciate the things you loved while growing up. You probably even remember the type of car you drove as a teen, or that your parents drove during fun family vacations. The Nissan Altima can trace its origins back to the Nissan Bluebird line, which was released way back in 1957. The Altima is a long lasting and reliable sedan that your kids will remember riding in when they are 7 and getting to drive when they turn 16. Come down to Coast Nissan to see why the Altima is the ultimate family sedan.

When the term “family car” is mentioned, there are three main criteria that the car needs to meet: safety, comfort and affordability. A #familycar must above all else be safe, because in the event of an accident, you and your kids should be protected. The Altima is a master of both, preventing and dealing with accidents. Thanks to features like Blind Spot Warning, changing lanes is never a danger. With the Advanced Drive Assist display along with the 360-degree camera coverage, you always know where the cars are around you.

The interior of the Nissan Altima is perfect for both kids and adults. Everyone will feel comfortable in the rear seats because of the ample amount of legroom and wide seats. The Altima is slightly larger than most sedans, and the extra room allows every passenger to enjoy the ride more. The Altima is also one of the most economic sedans on the market today, and with a customized finance plan from Coast Nissan, we can make sure you are able to enjoy this exceptional model.

Be Confident In Your Safety With Nissan’s Safety Shield System

Nissan Coast

Each time you go for a drive you should feel confident in your car. Confident in the ability to navigate through the city and highway smoothly and quickly. Confident that your car has been designed and built to be reliable and powerful. But most importantly, you should be confident that the safety features can keep you and your passengers out of harm’s way. With Nissan’s patented Safety Shield technology, you can put your mind at ease knowing the system is hard at work monitoring, responding and protecting.

Monitoring is the first big feature of the #SafetyShield system. Without this step, the car would not be able to react to or even identify problems in the car or the environment. The car monitors the weather conditions and proper tire inflation, as well as alerting the driver to dangerous situations. This includes technology such as predictive forward collision warning and blind spot warning, both of which track how nearby cars are moving.

Responding does exactly what the name suggests: reacting to the changes that the monitoring system detects. This means in the event of an impending forward collision it can automatically brake the car if the driver does not respond to the alert themselves. This is key for avoiding accidents. This system also includes features like traction control for bad weather and brake force distribution which accounts for extra passenger weight.

Finally, Nissan’s design choices include numerous airbags and head restraints to minimize the impact of a collision and protect loved ones. Nissan cars also include both a LATCH and SNUG system which work with child seats to keep them secure.

Nissan is always committed to keeping you and your family safe, so come test drive the new Altima or Maxima at Coast Nissan. You can also check out all our safety precautions online at www.coastnissan.com.

The New Nissan Versa Is A Perfect Economic Sedan

Nissan versa

In the world of sedans, there is no shortage of different makes and models. In fact, the market has been so completely flooded with these compact cars that it can be difficult to stand out from the rest. But standing out from the competition has never been a problem for the Nissan Versa, which has received upgrades to its design and features in 2017.

The #NissanVersa, which comes in both a sedan or a hatchback to meet your specific needs, is a long standing veteran that has proven itself to be worth much more than its low price point would suggest. The Versa is one of the most economic sedans available right now, with a low base price and a fuel economy that won’t tax your wallet and an estimated 31 city and 39 highway mpg. This is thanks to the engine, which has been equipped with continuously variable transmission to output a solid 109 horsepower, perfect for this lighter sedan.

Nissan has worked to upgrade the interior over the past year, expanding the back row of seats in order to make even more room for passengers and cargo. The Versa comfortably fits passengers into its small but deceptively spacious design. It also received a brand new grille and swept-back headlights for a bolder look that is reminiscent of the larger Altima, another one of Nissan’s best-selling sedans.

To experience a test drive in the Nissan Versa or any other sedan in our extensive line-up, visit our friendly sales team at Coast Nissan. You’ll find top of the line deals and fantastic service from our staff, and you can also visit us online at www.coastnissan.com.

Nissan gt-r

It’s a great way to promote the best technology they can offer, as well as provide entertainment for millions of fans. This year, Nissan is celebrating its 25th anniversary of its 1991 Bathurst 1000 victory at the race in Australia’s Mount Panorama.

This year, Nissan will proudly race a NISMO Altima Supercar specially designed for this event, adorned in red, white and blue. This powerful car combines precise handling with a 600 hp engine that quickly accelerates the car to breathtaking speeds. The actual design is based off a combination of Nissan’s best-selling Altima and award winning sports car GT-R Nismo. The 1991 Nissan victory was a display of pure domination using a GT-R model. This victory quickly became legendary as it completed the race with a time that would go unbeaten for 19 years. This is an astounding feat considering how much engines have improved since then. Performance and Safety Review of the 2016 Nissan Altima

2016-nissan-altima-rear-view-gun-metallic

The 2016 Nissan Altima is focused on improving its performance and fuel efficiency, making it a leader in its class. It does pack a punch under the hood and the SR actually feels quite nimble and sporty.

Performance specs

It comes in two engine options: the 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder, DOHC and the 3.5 liter, V6 DOHC. A Hybrid variant is no longer available. The 2.5 liter produces 180 bhp power and 180 ft-lb torque at high rpm ranges. Redline rpm is at 6800 rpm. If you rev up the SR too close to the redline, the car software automatically downshifts significantly. But the engine feels nice throughout the range. The V6 produces 270 bhp power and 258 ft-lb torque. The CVT manual transmission feels nice and smooth. The gears are simulated in the SR and SL to copy the gear ratios of automatics. The others come with manuals.

Safety

This 191.4 inch (109.3 inch wheelbase) long sedan is packed with safety features. ABS, traction and stability controls as well as rearview parking cameras are standard on all models. Some of the top get blind spot detection, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control with front collision warning with emergency auto braking (only SL). Nissan also provides emergency assistance and lost car location assistance. It has a tire pressure monitor and is easy to fill, which means a warning system sounds buzzing when the tires have been inflated adequately. No separate monitors are required. The 2015 Nissan Altima, similar to this one, had got the highest possible ratings on crash safety tests from IIHS and NHTSA.

Nissan is giving you a “substantial” car for a reasonable bargain. It starts from the $23,000 level and goes up to just below $35,000 level, for the fully fitted top trim SL. So, it can cater to a wide section of the market. To know more, contact us at Coast Nissan.

Nissan Rides the Crossover Wave with High Sales in 2016

Nissan Rides the Crossover Wave with High Sales in 2016

As customers shift their choice to crossovers, trucks and sport-utility vehicles; the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Nissan Group upped its January sales by a substantial 1.6 percent as compared to the figures posted a year earlier.

While the primary brand Nissan posted a 2.9 percent hike in sales by a whopping 97,220 units; the luxury car manufacturing brand Infiniti sales dipped 11.8 percent to 8,514.

The analysts from Edmunds.com had estimated Nissan Group to post a sales growth of 1.5 percent as against an overall industry dip of 0.5 percent.

Records showed that Nissan registered a growth figure of 18 percent in the month of January for its sales in pickups, crossovers and sport-utility vehicles. The industry trends are indicative of the fact that people have started to prefer the bigger cars over the smaller ones because of the fall in prices of gasoline.

The much popular Nissan Rogue is indicative of the industry craze over crossovers. The fact that the Rogue sales climbed 26 percent is indicative of the above proposition. In fact, unit sales rose to a monstrous 19,762 units. Nissan Rogue has drawn the imagination of a large number of car enthusiasts.

Contrast that with the fact that sales for the mid-size car Altima dropped 16.1 percent to 22,156 units for the same month.

If you are interested in buying any of the Nissan crossovers, step into Coast Nissan today.

Nissan Takes Home 8 Podium Finishes Just Before Season Finale

Nissan 4 eight podium finishes

Nissan is on fire! The motorsport team has been bringing home the gold – and the silver and the bronze. In fact, this past weekend, the Japanese automaker’s Motorsport team scored eight podium wins, across three different races at the Miller Motorsports Park. Rick Kulach, Manager of Nissan North America Motorsports, said: “This team knew what it had to do at Sonoma, and that is finish as high as possible, take away points and bring the cars home in one piece. They did just that, and they were as fast as they could be on a tight circuit while keeping the cars mechanically sound and basically ready to race in two weeks down the coast. This team knows how to win championships. We may not get it this season, but look out next year.” If you would like to read the full article please click on the link below:
