The latest Nissan trailer featured famous actress Margot Robbie, who test drove the car out on a closed race track in Monaco. In the short video, she shows off the incredible maneuverability and speed the sports car shows by piloting the car around one of the most famous corners of the racing world: the Fairmont Hairpin. The car effortlessly glides around the track, highlighting the never-before-seen power of the powertrain electric engine. Manufactured by UK-based Williams Advanced Engineering, this new engine can accelerate the car 60 miles per hour in under five seconds, and can reach a maximum velocity of 115 mph. This latest setup also features two 130 kW electric motors for each wheel that can compensate for understeering through a process known as torque vectoring.

 

Other notable features of this new sports car include a new seat configuration that has one driver in the front near the “nose” of the car and two seats behind it. This makes the driver feel more immersed in the experience much like an airplane pilot in the cockpit. The #BladeGlider has been in development for over four years, dating back to a concept car in early 2013. Since then it has been refined and improved using the latest in electric vehicle technology, so drivers can both be exhilarated and environmentally comfortable.
