This past weekend was a great one the Doran Racing / GT Academy 370Z NISMO team who took home first place in the third round of the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. B.J. Zacharias, a series veteran and race finisher, commented after the race: “If the race had stayed under green flag that last 12 minutes to the end, I think we had something for the race winning Camaro Z28 at the finish. The last caution gave the two V8 cars time to cool off their tires. It was anyone’s race among the top three cars. We all crossed the line within eight tenths of a second. Nissan is excited to move forward with its plans to develop begin production of the upcoming hybrid variant of their recently introduced crossover –  The Murano. The Japanese automaker unveiled a new Murano Hybrid in China this past week. In a recent Nissan announcement, the automaker revealed that the production of the new Maxima model is targeted to revive struggling sales of its flagship sedan. Nissan executives revealed that the new model will feature an aggressive exterior and interior design that will offer better, sportier handling. Nissan unveils a new 2015 Murano powertrain. At the Auto Shanghai 2015, Nissan showcased a new 2015 Murano hybrid model. Although we do not know whether or not the new powertrain option will make it to the U.S., we do know that the Murano Hybrid is powered by the same system as the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid – a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor.
